Care farming is the use of working farms as a means of promoting mental and physical health. Farmers are contracted to provide a ‘health service’ whilst continuing with their normal activities.
Care Farming helps disaffected young people, psychiatric patients, those suffering from mild to moderate depression, people with learning disabilities, early-stage Alzheimers, drug or alcohol dependency and many other groups.
