Daybreak Dementia Clubs
Daybreak helps to improve the quality of life for people with dementia by providing a stimulating , safe social environment enabling carers and their families to enjoy a day's respite. Daybreak acts as an antidote to the loneliness, isolation & despair that accompanies this distressing condition.

Charity information: Daybreak Oxford
Daybreak Dementia Clubs are under threat. We are a small Oxford based charity working in partnership with S&CS & Oxford Bucks Mental Health Services from which we jointly receive 75% of our funding which has been greatly reduced due to the many cutbacks taking place at the moment.
Daybreak runs 3 clubs in Oxford providing 175 places a week.
We need to independently raise £40,000 per year to enable to us to continue our much needed service as the only specialist dementia club in Oxford.
We have recruited a Fundraising Manager in order to raise awareness and funds by engaging, not only with local people , but also with groups, organisations & corporate organisations across Oxfordshire. Daybreak will be holding open days and fundraising events throughout the year.. We would like the community to take ownership of Daybreak because it a much needed service which is highly valued.
Daybreak's aim is to be financially independent from statutory funding.
Activities» Open days at our 3 Oxford Daybreak Clubs to raise awareness and funds Involve local people in the planning of the open days/ fundraising events.
» Recruit volunteers across Oxford to become 'friends of Daybreak' to raise awareness and funds in their own area. Involve local people to be involved.
» Set up a high profile Fundraising Board in order to attract major donors.
