We hope to raise funds in aid of the Air Ambulance to help ensure the continuity of a vital service.
The Air Ambulance souly relies on donations and fund raisers to keep the service running, they receive no form of government funding.
Our project is one of many carried out by different organisations to raise funds for the Air Ambulance.
To raise money for the Air Ambulance to ensure continuity of service.
Activities» We are holding a Vintage and Modern machinery Poughing Match on Sunday 22nd September. Funds will be raised through entry money from competitors
» Also on the day we will be having a raffle to help raise any extra money from both competitors and from visitors
What success will look like
Success will be to raise over £1000 which will be donated to the Air Ambulance, even though it is a small target every little helps!
To raise awareness of the Air Ambulance for the general public
Activities» Through the use of advertising boards we hope to display the aims of the Air Ambulance and our aims in continually supporting this service
What success will look like
Success will be recieving over 200 visitors on the day and talking to them regarding why we support such a worthy cause
The project will help raise money for the Air Ambulance and aid it in continuing to answer emergency calls and save members of the public in areas where standard land ambulances cannot reach
In previous years we have held the Ploughing Match in very hot and even rainy and windy weather, there is still a risk though that if the weather is bad we may have to cancel or bad weather will reduce the amount of competitors and visitors attending the Ploughing Match. We have dealt with some of the risk by asking competitors to pay before hand so if they do not attend we can still raise some funds for the Air Ambulance
Funders of this project will recieve an email report on the project detailing the days events and the total they helped raise for the Air Ambulance

Ashby de la Zouch is a market town and civil parish in North West Leicestershire, within the National Forest. It is one of the largest towns in North West Leicestershire.
Ashby, is surrounded by a large number of farm land which has been farmed by the same families for generations. Ashby YFC is the oldest young farmers club in the county, we've been around for nearly 90 years and are older than both the county and national young farmers organisations.
People who are in a situation where they cannot be reached by conventional ambulances or who need to transported to the nearest hospital as quickly as possible.
The Air ambulance routinely carries senior Doctors to the scene of emergency incidents in just minutes, providing lifesaving treatment and medication at the scene and en-route to hospital. In essence, they take the hospital to the patient, providing the best possible chance of recovery.
Ashby Young Farmers have been holding a charity ploughing match in aid of the Air Ambulance for the past 10 years. We have the experience to run this event and have a large amount of supporters within the local community. This year however we are looking to expand on our previous successes and hope to break all targets in terms of amount of competitors who enter the competition, visitors and money raised for such a good cause
