Safe Water Education and Health to Poor Cambodians
To deliver safe drinking water daily, provide medical support and education to poor Khmer Villagers and their children. We help over 1000 people that have no land, jobs or property, they are squatters. We also help with education, vocational training, medical clinics/hospital aid, food and clothing.
January 2008 - December 2016
Most infant deaths and adult sickness here are caused by the poor quality drinking water. The problem is these people are squatters, living on Government roadside. They cannot build holding tanks, pipe in town water etc and the toxins cannot be filtered out. The parents can't afford education for their children or pay for any medical needs.
Our project is ongoing, we rent a building connected to town water near the squatters area. We recently installed a UV water purification plant and deliver safe drinking water with the help of volunteers every day except Sunday. We also transport the children to the facility for meals, education and vocational training every day except Saturday. We conduct regular medical clinics and severe cases are either taken to a Doctor or Hospital. Other supplies are frequenty taken to the Village.
To enhance the health and lives of Khmer people who are disadvantaged through no fault of their own.
Activities» Daily deliver safe drinking and cooking water.
» Education for children that cannot afford to have a normal education.
» To provide medical assistance to those that cannot afford to pay for their own health-care.
» Vocational training to the older children that cannot find work, or will have no chance of finding work when they are older.
Success will show up in their health issues especially with the younger ones. Diarrhea is very common with babies, our medical clinics will see a great improvement.
Saving lives is paramount, also providing an opportunity for future employment will enhance their prospects to care for themselves more. The hope is for the next generation to be able to secure work, property and live a somewhat normal life. Instead of the number of squatters growing in the Squatters Village, we expect to see the numbers decline, though this will take a long time. For the short term we are happy to see a decline in health issues.
The biggest risk to our projects is a fall in donation money. We are totally dependant on donations for all our projects. The Trustees are all volunteers and we all donate money as well as time. We also rely on casual volunteers to help, we continually post update articles on our Website and Facebook sites to encourage more donors and volunteers.
We ask supporters to view our Website and Facebook sites on a regular basis to see what we are doing, We answer every email and welcome people to discus with us anything they need to know about CHOICE. We display all our online donations on "Choice Donations" in our website for transparency.

The location is in Cambodia 1 hour outside the capital city in Kandal Province. These people have either never had any property since the Pol Pot era or have had their land taken from them. They can be moved away by authorities at any time though there is nowhere else for them to go. Most have never been to the capital city as they cannot afford the money for transport.
The children and their Families.
We are the only organization that are helping these people. They the people at the bottom the poorest of the poor, the ones that have fallen through the cracks and no one else seems to care but us.
