  • Need

    Need

In the last year alone, the staff on the NICU unit provided care and treatment to more than 350 babies and their families. With the medical advances and increasingly sophisticated, larger pieces of equipment meant that space on the previous unit was becoming very tight. The Trust contributed £1.1m to extending and refurbishing the unit and generous fundraisers raised £50,000 towards it. We now need further financial support in order to raise funds for additional life-saving equipment.

    Solution

We now need further support to raise funds for additional equipment which includes Ventilators (£15,000), CPAPS/ SIPAPS (£9,000) and Neopuffs (£6,000).

By having this equipment in the unit, staff will be able to treat the babies from across West Essex and East Hertfordshire using the very latest, state-of-the-art equipment.

  • Why Us?

    Why Us?

Our neonatal service has performed well in a number of external assessments over the years. However, we need to include in our long-term plans the need to increase the capacity and environment of the unit to care for the number of premature babies and their families we are seeing.
