  • Need

HARP assisted 1,557 people last year. Nearly half were young people. There is an increasing number of people sleeping rough. Many have a history of mental illness.

HARP see people in desperate need. They are alone and hungry and many have been sleeping on the streets.

As well offering emergency services for people who are homeless and distressed, over time specialist staff assist each person through a personalised package of support, accommodation and training to enable people to get back on their feet.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To break the cycle of homelessness.

» HARP's Day Service is the first point of contact for people who are homeless and is a crucial element of the charity.

    What success will look like

More people are off the streets and into accommodation.
Staff engage with people to give them the skills to manage their own lives, reducing the risk of homelessness.

  • Impact

More people will live independently and not have to depend on HARP for their day to day needs.

With early intervention and outreach work, HARP aim to engage more people to ensure that, especially during the winter months, people are accommodated and not on the streets.

HARP relies on the dedicated staff that work every day in a challenging environment. HARP ensure that all staff are well trained and well supported to carry out this specialist work.

Donors will receive two newsletters a year.
