Weekend retreat Fri 26 to Sun 28 October
A short weekend break for people involved with Hattersley Community Church. This will take place at the Knock Christian Centre. http://www.dunfellchristiantrust.co.uk/
October 2012 - October 2012
Hattersley Community Church
In todays world of round the clock and weekend working it can be difficult for people to spend time together and get to know one another. As a result relationships are at best superficial. Close relationships are important in the life of a church if it is to be effective in it's outreach to the community around it.
Spending a weekend together is a great way to build closer relationships and to get to know one another. During these times we work together as a team and develop mutial respect and trust.
This project provides a way for those attending to make regular payments in advance.
Activities» Encourage people to make regular payments to ease the burden of finding the money later in the year.
Success will be... people not struggling to find the money to pay for the trip at the last minute.
Seek others to donate so that some may participate even if they cannot afford it.
Activities» Hattersley is not a wealthy community, but many could benefit from participation. You can help to make this possible for those who would be left out.
Success will be... If enough additional money is raised to ensure that all can particlpate regardless of their income and ability to pay.
HCC have a desire to become a force for change and in improvement in the surrounding community. By learning to work closely together we will build the strengths and team skills required to be able to achieve this goal.
Late payment and underfunding would place a burden on the church. Like a lot of churches in a community like Hattersley there is lot that needs to be done but little in the way of financial resources to achieve our vision.
We will provide pictures and information about the weekend on the Church website.
