-to raise awareness of mental health problems and reduce stigma and discrimination.
-to help socially, and/or geographically isolated Carers and cared for Individuals and families in South Devon, through their recovery from the effects of mental illness or substance abuse.

The need for;
- local, relevant information and support for families and people affected by mental illness, substance misuse and suicide.
-Carers’ one-to-one and peer support, there are currently no mental health carer support groups in rural South Devon.
-Social contact and peer support - Accessible help and information.
-Combatting stigma and discrimination
By supporting carers through offering information, direct access and recovery-based services.
• welcoming and helping, families, children and the people who would not otherwise access support,
• By uniquely offering immediate support and services to people in urgent need.
• Being independence and responsive
To raise awareness of mental health problems and reduce stigma and discrimination in rural areas.
Activities» Holding 3 awareness raising public events annually in rural South Devon run by carers, their families and those in recovery.
To help socially, and/or geographically isolated carers and cared for Individuals and families.
Activities» To run a series of small accessible events in rural South Devon for carers and their families.
There are no major risks. Safeguarding policies are in place.
