Inclusive cycling activities for people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, stroke survivors and their carers.

  • Need


    Providing much needed outdoor exercise and social engagement opportunities for for people with learning difficulties, physical disabilities, stroke survivors and their carers. Just 10.8 per cent of disabled people meet recommended levels of activity, and this number has changed very little in several years


    We have a fleet of specially adapted cycles, trikes, side by side bikes and a team of instructors and volunteers running sessions in a safe and supported off-road environment.

    Success will be... the service fully funded and helping 100 people a week to benefit.

    Increased health benefit amoungst our target groups and social engagement opportunities including volunteering opportunities


    We have carried out a risk assessment and update this regularly. Staf are suitably trained and supported. The venue at Sutton Arena is ideal for this activity.


    However requested, but we assume through our website, via email and with written reports that will include short case studies and a summary of project activities etc.

    Why Us?

    We have worked with local disability groups who asked us to put this project together. We have the project up and running and are now seeking donations to increase its reach. The project has the potential to benefit many more people and is an example of the community doing something for itself.
