Charity information: Chris Lucas Trust
Raising vital funds for a rare cancer RHAB for childhood cancer research, we need this major event to provide the funding.
It will provide the funding for a Senior Scientific Researcher and Assistant's contract based at the Institute of Cancer Research, Surrey.
Tio raise sufficient funds to provide continuous research into a very rare childhood cancer (RHAB).
Activities» To ensure this major annual sponsored event reaches enough participants to provide sponsor monies for childhood cancer research.
Success will be reaching over £100,000 from the major event to enable the charity to continure funding this particular childhood cancer research..
The childhood cancer research into RHAB will bring better treatments for the children, increase the child's survival rate, and find a treatment to prolong the childs life, to find a cure.
Lack of participation to the major event which then equals no research into this rare form of cancer that is claiming children's life's nationally.
Because of the present climate to find £350,000 every three years is difficult if this major event has limited participation.
We publicise within local press and provide feedback and news on our websites and facebook contacts.
