Addressing the needs of the children of inner city areas in Birmingham
Blue Ink Trust Ltd
According to statistics the children on Free School Meal (FSM) register are almost 18% behind compared to their counter parts due to many factors including deprivation.
These children do not get support from their parents, neither there is any centre which could cater for their needs. Moreover, these children do not get opportunity to go anywhere, therefore, during holidays they do not have much activities.
Birmingham Education House will address their needs and will cater for their needs
To address their educational needs, we will support them in the subjects, topics, home-works etc as per their needs. And during the holidays, half term, full term and summer holidays we will run recreational activities which will give them opportunity to express their talents, acquire the skills and use the time in positive ways.
To do so, we will have a building dedicated for their activities and resources where they can drop in after schools, on weekends and during the holidays.
Our aim is to purchase a suitable building which has 4 rooms for classes and a hall for recreation
Activities» We will offer educational clubs after school, on weekends and during holidays we will combine our educational clubs with recreational clubs.
Success will be...The children of deprived areas will be able to come in after school, on weekends and during holidays to get help in their education and use their time positively
The extra lessons in English, Mathematics and Sciences will improve their achievements and attainments and during the holidays it will provide them opportunity to use their time positively. It will give them skills of team-work, communication skill and leadership skills which is very important for an adult life.
A very suitable building has been identified which is near to the Acocks Green town centre.
The most urgent needs are the funds to purchase the building. We are contacting the local people of the area for their support and we are contacting donors for the funds to purchase the building.
The name of the donors, with their permission, will be engraved and displayed by the entrance of the building and the classrooms or hall. During our recreational activities or award giving ceremonies, the donors will be invited and they will be giving out the awards and certificates.

The children of inner city area of Birmingham
Since 2005, we have been running after school clubs, weekend and holidays clubs in these areas.
Through our over 10 years teaching experiences in secondary and primary schools in Birmingham and through our clubs, we know the needs of the children of the areas. In this area there is no such organisation.
