Care for one patient

To provide funding to care for ONE patient in our In-Patient Unit.
This will cover the cost of nursing, clinical, catering, consulting and cleaning staff. These roles combined, coupled with our army of volunteers, will ensure ONE patient can be cared for with dignity in their last stage of life.

  • Need

Due to government cutbacks within the National Health Service, our income from statutory funds, which accounts for 26% of our income this year, has diminished by £96,000. We are unable to compromise our service to the local people of North Staffordshire and beyond, resulting in an increase in expenditure of £766,000 compared to last year.

The project will enable us to continue to provide the high level of patient care that our local people have become accustomed to without placing an additional burden on our communities in these times of economic uncertainty.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To provide round the clock care and support for ONE patient

» Ensure funding is available to ensure the care can be implemented

    What success will look like

Success will be...the patient is comfortable in the last stage of their life and is able to be cared for with dignity. In addition, the family of the patient will be supported

  • Impact

This funding will enable us to continue to provide patient care without overburdening our local communities and thus assist our sustainability

Risks are that funding is not received and we will have to approach our local communities for additional support

If required, a report will be produced for the donors to allow them to see the impact of their donation.
