People with disablities and carers can find it very difficult to find care breaks that supports their often very individual needs. As more disabled people live in the community with the support of carers so they expect to have choice when considering a respite care break to enable their carers to have a guilt free rest from their caring duties. Vitalise has three fully accessible centres around the UK offering 24 hour on call nursing and care where fully trained staff are supported by volunteers
People with disabilities get a care break that supports their often very individual needs. Vitalise gives people with disabilities real choice when they are considering a respite care break.
Carers desperately need a break and Vitalise offers a guilt free rest from their caring role when they know that their loved one is being well cared for.
Volunteers gain valuable experience of disability issues and team work. They enhance their CV's and career prospects.

By offering disabled people and carers real choice when they are considering a respite care break we help some of the most disadvantaged members of our society to be able to continue to live independantly in our community. This contributes to the diversity and richness of our society and prevents disabled people and carers becoming isolated and ignored by others.
Our volunteers gain valuable experience and enhance their CV's and career prospects and can go on to a career in a related field.
Vitalise fundraise to enable them to be able to subsidise the true cost of their care breaks. Should donations and grants reduce significantly we would not be able to offer the subsidy on our care breaks that make them more accessible to the people that really need them.
Vitalise operates a comprehensive fundraising programme approaching Trusts, Local Authorities, Companies and Individuals and has a local and national events programme. We receive numerous donations and grants.
Vitalise produces regular publications and eshots that give up to date information to our donors.
We publish our Report and Accounts annually.

Vitalise has three fully accessible centres around the UK. Vitalise Jubilee Lodge in Essex, Vitalise Sandpipers in Southport and Vitalise Netley Waterside in Southampton.
Disabled People, Carers and Young People
Vitalise has been in operation since 1963 and we have seen the need for our services ever increase. As more disabled people choose to live independantly in the community with the support of carers so they expect to have choice when considering a respite care break that supports their often very individual needs. Our records show around 150 different disabling conditions. Vitalise has been supporting disabled people based on their individual needs for 50 years and offers a unique service.
