Keep A Child Learning
Many children from deprived and vulnerable backgrounds struggle to complete their education. The main reason for this is their inability to afford school fees. ‘Keep A Child Learning’ provides funding for school places in poverty stricken communities in which we work, giving children a chance.
All over the world, children are unable to complete a basic level of education due to the lack of financial resources. Operation Orphan is tackling this problem by providing children from some of the poorest communities in the world with the chance to attend school, with the hope of giving them a brighter future.
Keep a child learning works on the basis of sponsoring a school place not a specific child. The funding for each school place pays for a child's school fees, uniform (if required) and school stationery, the costs of which will vary from country to country. Operation Orphan currently supports education projects in Zimbabwe and Uganda.

Success will be demonstrated by the educational achievements of those children who have benefited from the funding of their school place through 'Keep A Child Learning'.
We believe that educating children is key to helping them succeed in life. Through this project, Operation Orphan aims to provide quality education to the most vulnerable, creating a pathway for them to walk out of poverty, should they work hard and take the opportunity. This not only tackles the immediate needs of the current generation but should, over time, start to create brighter futures for these children and the communities that they live in.
Operation Orphan is a relatively new charity with a small number of dedicated donors at present. Therefore we have been cautious not to be too overambitious in our budget at such an early stage of development.
Donors will receive regular updates about the progress of the project. There will also be regular updates via the blog on the Operation Orphan website.
