To provide evening clubs for young people who are disabled, excluded or vulnerable that provides training , personal development and the chance to socialise in a safe friendly environment and provides parents / carers with respite. to encourage integration and understanding of disability.

the disability community
The project looks to address the fact that there are very few facilities and activity groups for young people with a disability, whether that be physical, learning or a mental health issues where they can grow and develop in a safe, friendly and non-judgemental envoronment. It also seeks to combat isolation,exclusion and to challenge inequality where it exists. Each young person will have an agreed development plan that takes into account their wishes and aspirations at their own pace
the project will provide a safe environment and a series of planned activities that will allow young people to develop at a pace commensurate with their disability. The main aim is that young people are able to learn , socialis and develop while at the same time being able to enjoy themselves. In addition to the benefits for the young person the project also means that parents/ carers and families are able to have regular periods of respite. Adapted transport is available.

Activities» by providing planned activities that stimulate young people , are enjoyable and assist them in their personal development
Success will be..having between 25 and 30 young people attending each night from monday to wednesday and an increase in their self esteem and confidence
The proiject will assist young people in becoming more confident, having a better self image and being able to contribute more to their community and society. In addition , this support given to families will make a difference to the home environment . TYhe project will challenge inequality and empowere young disabled people to speak up for themselves. Success will be demonstrated by the keeping of records in their personal development plans and in feed back from young person friends and family
As we have been established for 20 years as an organisation there are no real risks. Our staff are skilled and have had appropriate training and we have excellent contacts and partnership working with refering bodies. Perhaps the only risk may be becoming complacent and allowing the activities to become stale . However regular review and confidence in staff should avoid this
As well as our annual report identified doners would be sent a quarterly review of the service accompanied by photos of events etc.

the project will be basewd within the disability community in North Glasgow, a well established facility situated in one of the most deprived areas of the UK
Young people from 13 -25 across the whole of North Glasgow who have a disability or are vulnerable and where appropriate non diabled young people to encourage better understanding and integration. Many parts of North Glasgow such as Possil Park, Milton and Springburn are very high on Social Deprevation indicator list we would envisage that over the period of the year 180 young people will benefit from the program
The Disability community is a member led organisation and has a board made up of service users so we are well aware to barriers, inequality and isolation suffered by disabled people. We have provided services and support for members for over 20 years and have an in-depth knowledge pool and expertise to call on. In addition we have well developed partnerships and networks that allow us to access additional resources and skills
