Supporting People with Prader-Willi Syndrome and their Families
Offering personal one to one support to families and people with PWS in crisis - when, because of the effects of PWS, children are excluded from school, teenagers are refused college places, and social services refuse to fund placements and services which could save a person's life.
Working with families to support one another. Arranging informal meetings and events at which families can meet and share experiences. PWS is a rare syndrome and very socially isolating, so that families and people with PWS really value the opportunity to meet with others. However, travel and accommodation costs are sometimes beyond the means of many families and we need funding to help with this.
