Football for Holme
The Holme Rovers footballers have several teams who need proper changing facilities and storage. The plan is to fully renovate the pavilion and provide a storage shed.
March 2012 - August 2012
Holme-on-Spalding-Moor Village Hall
There are several football teams using the playing fields and there are currently no changing facilities or meeting facilities for them, their opponents or the match officials. This makes the players uncomfortable and reduces the interest in playing.
The project will fully renovate the pavilion, providing changing facilities for the players and a room for the match officials to use.
Renovate the football pavilion
Activities» Rewire the pavilion.
» Refit the pavilion.
» Redesign the pavilion.
Success will be that the pavilion is safe and useable to the specification of the football teams.
The project will encourage the people of Holme to join and support the Holme Rovers football teams. We will demonstrate the success of the this project by monitoring the number of players and the attendance at matches.
There is a risk that the work could be more complex than envisaged leading to the project taking longer and costing more. We have dealt with this by employing an architect to assess the current structure and plan the renovation.
Funders of this project will receive emails when key goals, such as completing the wiring, refitting the pavilion etc, have been reached with photographs of the project to date. If any changes to the plans are necessary the funders will be informed by email with the relevant details.

Holme-on-Spalding Moor is the largest village in the East Riding of Yorkshire. The Village Hall is located at the heart of the village and provides facilities for the villagers. The Holme Rovers football club is a big part of the community.
All of the people who live in Holme-on-Spalding Moor and the surrounding area are very welcome to join and support the Holme Rovers football team and will benefit directly from this project. All residents will benefit indirectly by the increase in community spirit and involvement of the young people of the village.
It will also benefit teams coming to play against the Holme Rovers and will promote the game across the region.
Our charity has been maintaining and developing the playing fields and village hall for over 50 years and the trustees are members of the community with good representation from the Holme Rovers football club.
