Charity information: Mind in Mid Herts
The Stevenage WellBeing Centre is aiming to reduce the challenges associated with mental ill health and promote well being.
We provide facilities for exercise, educational groups, information and signposting as well as friendship schemes and employment opportunities.
To be an acceptable face of mental health in the Town Centre.
Activities» We run a gym to allow exercise to make up a part of people's lifestyle choices.
» We run educational groups to help people understand how they can help themselves.
» We run groups where people can socialise to reduce the isolation many of them experience.
What success will look like
Success will be...engaging an increasing number of individuals from the local population.
People will recognise the Mind brand locally.
Individuals will evidence improvements in their wellbeing.
The provision of information will have increased.
Funding cuts have affected current services and a greater need for active fundraising is now being attempted.
Mind in Mid Herts provides a report each year at its AGM.
