At the time of need and also in an emergency, the people of Kitera in Kenya have to travel over 150 km to get to their nearest hospital. The village is about 10km away from the main road and in most cases, the majority number of patients do not manage to reach the referral centres. Loss of life, patients dying due to lack of finances to reach the referral facilities or time to reach such services can easily be managed.
The project will provide medical facilities to the poor people of Kitera within their locality. Hence saving them time & effort and hopefully saving their lives.
