A database to ensure smart and effective communication with our supporters and donors. It will also allow us to be specific and targeted in our approach to new supporters. It is an investment in supporter care, also creating an environment where supporters can give feedback to improve communications
As this is a capital expenditure project there are no such start and end dates, however we would hope to have the database implemented within the current financial year.
Charity information: Hoylake Cottage
Hoylake Cottage does not have a comprehensive client/supporter management database. Records are currently held on a number of excel spreadsheets or on an access system. As the two systems are not linked, data is not automatically updated which causes ineffective communication and duplication of work. These problems mean that we are not effective in our communications.
A new client/supporter management database will ensure Hoylake Cottage is more effective and smart in it’s communication, allowing it to reach new supporters. It will also allow the fundraising team and it’s volunteers to work more efficiently, enabling more time to be spent on the more productive aspects of fundraising.
Our aim is to achieve more effective and focused communication with our current and new supporters.

What success will look like
Success will be demonstrated by faster and smarter communication resulting in greater response from donors/supporters and support for our cause.
By investing in a new system relating to supporter care we will be creating an environment where donors can give feedback. Therefore by gaining a regular focused donor/supporter database, we will have the ability to increase regular giving and support to allow us to plan for the future.
Due to the nature of the project, risks are minimal and mainly due to implementation and technical aspects, for which we have a dedicated member of staff to manage.
We will report to donors via our newsletter, local press, website and various social networks.

The database will be installed at Hoylake Cottage and the nature of the project will allow us to communicate with donors/supporters throughout the Wirral, Liverpool and the North-West.
Hoylake Cottage as a whole will benefit due to smarter and effective communication with donors, supporters, clients and residents.
Our fundraising team need the tools to enable a more proactive and focused strategy and the database is the perfect tool.

Donorflex was really a no-brainer and offered a way for our charity to progress our data and vastly improve our data storage and communications.
