Help Fund a Salary
Our early intervention service for 0-5's with cerebral palsy could not function without the dedicated professional staff delivering services directly to the children using Conductive Education. Funding a salary would help us achieve the sustainability our families and their children deserve.
January 2013 - December 2013
Charity information: Dame Vera Lynn Children's Charity
With early intervention, many children with cerebral palsy can go on to attend a mainstream school as their prognosis is so much better. Through our services they and their families are therefore less likely to become isolated within their local community.
Using Conductive Education, the children are taught to become active learners, achieving purposeful movement and becoming empowered to make choices. They become independent and can take responsibility for themselves.
Ensure every family who needs our services can access them.
Activities» Fund up to six salaries
Success will be not turning away any suitable family that needs our help.
In the long term, many of our children will be able to attend the school of their choice, with the appropriate level of support in place.
In terms of staffing, we have a very stable and motivated staff base dedicated to working with the children, minimising the risk of frequent changes in staffing.
We produce an annual report but specific reports can be prepared for major donors on request if we are alerted to the need for such a report from the outset.
