New Emergency Vehicle Fund
To provide out of hours emergency transportation services to the NHS , we rely on our fleet of ex-police motorcycles. 365 days a year, these bikes work to deliver blood and tissue samples for testing.
But we need to replace the aging fleet in order to continue to be able to offer this service.
August 2011 - February 2012
Volunteer riders with advanced bike qualifications provide a free of charge out of hours service emergency/urgent delivery service to the NHS. The bikes are equiped with blue lights ensuring a reliable service whatever the traffic.
No one is paid for their time; the service saves the NHS money and ensures that a rapid delivery service is available at night and at weekends.
Replacing the bikes on our fleet with newer vehicles will allow us to continue to offer a reliable service to the NHS trusts that we work with.
Raise funds to buy newer delivery motorcycles to enable us to continue to offer our free service

Sufficient funds raised to purchase 2 newer emergency delivery motorcycles.
The ability to provide a continuing out of hours emergency delivery service to the NHS will ensure that costs to the NHS for urgent services such as this are reduced.
It will also ensure that blood or tissue or other items that urgently require transport between hospitals or labs reach their destination on time every time; speeding up patient care or even saving lives.
There is a risk that the hospitals that use our service may not continue to do so.
To mitigate this risk we maintain strong ties and continuing liaison with the hospitals that use our free service to maintain awareness of the service and benefits.
Donors can receive reports of the committe meetings (which cover performance as well as finance), or even attend these meetings if they wish.
