Refurbishment of the Aloney Yitzhak kitchen
To repair the kitchen and refurbish it with more appliances.
Also to add 40 more seats in the dining room so that the children no longer need to eat in shifts, but all together in one sitting
July 2013 - December 2013
Youth Aliyah Child Rescue
Government cutbacks over the past few years have resulted in severe reduction to building maintenance and equipment to the village. The kitchen is in urgent need of repair and refurbishment.
Being able to build new service areas including equipment, air conditioning, repairs to both the electrical and plumbing systems, dishwashers and freezers will allow more children to benefit from better dining room facilities
That the children who live in the village should not have to eat in shifts which is very disruptive
Activities» Raise funds to rebuild, refurbish and fully equip the kitchen area
Success will be to have sufficient funds in place to renovate the kitchen and extend the dining room,
There will be less disruption to the children having to eat at different times during the day.
The village will be able to offer 40 more children the opportunity to live in the village next year
Without the extra funding, the village may have to refuse some children that wish to come to the villageand decrease the number of children that live in the village for next year.
Existing donors have been made aware of the serious consequences and every possible effort is being made to raise the required funding.
We are in regular contact with all our major donors by both phone and email. Periodic newsletters are sent out informing all our other supporters on how the project is progressing.
Further information will be posted on Facebook and on our website

The Village of Aloney Yitzhak is located in northern Israel.
The children come from Eastern Europe, Russia and also from North Africa, in particular Ethiopia .
About 300 children will be able to live in the village. They will be given a place to live where otherwise they might well be homeless and living on the streets. Once at the village they will have the opportunity to receive a high standard of education which they have been deprived of from an early age, and to begin to believe in themselves and what they can achieve in life
Youth Aliyah Child Rescue has been saving children for over 80 years from persecution, poverty and neglect.
By taking the most desperate children off the streets, our villages provide a firm set of core principles and a sense of security about the future. They are offered educational and therapeutic programmes of the highest standards providing the opportunity to integrate into society from the despair of poverty and become outstanding individuals in their own right
