  • Need

The issue of unsuitable mobility equipment or in some cases none at all provided by the NHS to disabled children in the UK

Anyone who applies to Whizz-Kidz for mobility equipment will be provided it, we have trained therapists around the country who tailor the equipment to suit the needs of the beneficiary, our aim is to give each child the freedom they could so easily have with the right wheelchair at the right time, enabling them to take part in school, home and at play.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

Provide the right wheelchair at the right time

» Provide assessment clinics across the UK where our therapists will assess the needs of each child and provide them the equipment they need.

Success will be helping more children thanks to the support of our donors and the Big Give.

  • Impact

We have a proven track record of success with each child that comes through Whizz-Kidz. We know that the earlier Whizz-Kidz intervene the more likely the child wil become an independent young adult.

We have a waiting list of over 450 kids and without the funding the list gets longer and will take more time to address.

We feedback with case studies of children who have been helped in the past highlighting the difference their new wheelchair has made to not only their lives, but those of their family, friends and carers.

  • Background

All over the UK - wherever the need is greatest at that time.

A child, a family and the wider public. Frontier Economics recently published a report highlighting the saving our work offers to the wider public purse. By providing the right equipment Whizz-Kidz ensures that other state services are not always needed such as adaptations to homes and extra assistance at school. The report concluded that for every £1 invested in Whizz-Kidz the social return on investment is between £10-£65.
