Charity information: Mustard Seed Relief Mission

Mustard Seed Relief Mission
  • Need

As Christmas is a time of giving. The children we will help have no families as they live mostly in orphanages. Christmas time can be quite a difficult time for them. The sense they can feel alone, uncared for and unloved. Mustard Seed charity can help with these feelings of hopelessness. Mustard Seed will send a team of colunteers out to the areas mentioned to distribute the precious cargo and ensure the presents are received and enjoyed by the children

Mustard Seed would like to show these disadvantaged children that they are important. That the people of England are showing them love and care. We all need love and support and that is the message Mustard Seed would like to send the children. To receive a gift is wonderful and this would create many thousands of welcomed smiles

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To send 6 lorries filled with 8000 Christmas presents to the disadvantaged children

» This a massive undertaking as the clock is ticking. Collecting, sorting, packing and sending then distributing the presents to the children.

    What success will look like

Success will be seeing the joy and excitment this project will bring to the children. To see the children smile, laugh and be happy, safe in the knowledge that someone cares enough

  • Impact

The project will bring hope to many thousands of disadvanaged children. Who so need to know they are thought of. This is a basic human need. The need to feel as though someone cares. This could teach the children that we have to care for one another and life is not always desperate and lonely but can be joyful and exciting. It is the charities hope that the care we show will encourage the children with the studies and education. So one day they may be in a situation they could help someone else

The lorries have to go through customs. There is a small risk they could get held up. Although the charity has links in place in Governments to ensure they Christmas lorries get through without to much trouble.

Funders will receive a full report from the trustees regarding the trips to distribute the gifts. This will also include a DVD showing the children and how much they enjoy receiving the Christmas gifts

The Christmas gifts will be sent to the Sumi region of the Ukraine and the Country of Moldova

The areas Mustard Seed visits are very poor and disadvantaged.
The children are desparate. They all live in what we would consider poverty. However the orphanages do what they can with very little in the way of resources
Mustard Seed hope that 40,000 children will benefit from this project this year.
