  • Need

There is a well recognised need for a dedicated Arts venue with the capacity for 200 seats. There are various local venues, some currently under threat or unsuitable for larger audiences and touring companies.
Although the local authority recognises the need for this facility they are unable to provide all the funds required, and although funding has been raised towards some of the upgrade there is a shortfall to complete the project.

There are a number of local Arts groups who have campaigned for a dedicated Arts space for Community use, and the upgrade of the school hall will provide this much needed facility.
This challenge aims to complete our fundraising to provide additional seating, lighting and sound equipment.
