Children count

The idea behind children count is to sustain a pot of money that will provide assisted places for our most needy and hard to reach families. Without extra money we are no longer able to offer assisted places to families, who cannot afford to pay the full amount of fees.

It will be ongoing

  • Need

The problem is that due to loosing are grant we cannot meet the needs of the families by supporting them through assisted places, which will have a negative affect on the children and their families. These families are living on very low incomes, and in inadequate housing therefore they rely on organisation such as ours to support them and their children.

Although we have been fundraising to try to build up an amount of money to help these families it is clearly not enough to sustain the project, however if we secure money through other organisations we will have a fighting chance to provide affordable childcare.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

    Provide 5 assisted places

» Involve the local community with fundraising events. Monthly cake sales with the involvement of parents and staff

    What success will look like

Success will be...having the funds to assist 5 children to attend the setting until they are funded.

  • Impact

The project will enable children to enjoy and achieve learning through play, it will also provide their parents time to engage in training, work and returning to education. This will hopefully mean better life chances for the family unit.

Lack of interest from sponsors and the community which will impact negatively on the project. We have fostered good relationships with the wider and local community to support the project.

Funders of the project will receive a monthly email detailing how the project is progressing, including any forthcoming events.
