  • Need

The former Granada cinema in Walthamstow has lain disused since 2003, and requires extensive restoration to re-open as a cinema.

Waltham Forest Cinema Trust intends to acquire the building, restore it, and re-open it as a thriving cinema and live events venue.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To purchase, restore and re-open the cinema.

» Our plan is to purchase the building at fair market value from the current owners, restore it and re-open it.

Success will be a fully restored entertainment venue and cultural destination with cinema at its heart.

  • Impact

This project could act as the catalyst for the regeneration of Walthamstow town centre, bring jobs and prosperity as well as enhanced cultural provision to the entire borough.

The building is not currently in our ownership, and has suffered from apparent deterioration since it was closed in 2003.

Donors will receive regular and personal communication from us, in a manner they choose.
