An appeal to support the development and management of exciting and new singing opportunities, training and health and wellbeing projects, building on the successful track record of more than 20 years vocal and choral development.

20,000 Voices needs to raise £40,000 to cover development and management of projects for 2016-18. Without this additional funding we will not be able to run our full programme for the year.
We are mounting this appeal to raise the additional £40,000 that we need to cover the remainder of our development costs in 2016-18.
20,000 Voices has an established and trusted reputation for the range and quality of its work, which embraces community & children's choirs, health and wellbeing, with with dementia and in prisons, as well as essential training to support this valubale work
To engage and empower more people through singing in 2016-18

» Appeal to all who have valued singing to donate, and get involved in keeping out networking active and expanding
What success will look like
Success will be reaching our target of £40,000 and therefore being able to support our work more effectively.
Our appeal will give us more financial stability. This will enable us to make long-term plans for singers, vocal leaders and projects.
We will be able to support new work that we have set up, and help it to thrive in the future.
We might not recruit enough singers to make all projects viable; we may not reach our full target amount or meet match funding targets.
We may be able to point singers to existing or other projects; We will continue to seek funds from a wide variety of sources, so that we are able to carry out planned projects.
Donors can sign up for our email bulletins, and also follow us on Facebook and Twitter. They can also visit our website, which will have several new features by the end of the year. Major donors will receive a letter of thanks if we have their contact details.

Mainly in Northumberland, Durham, Teesside. 20,000 Voices is based in Bedlington, but works widely across the region. We are also increasingly involved in wider projects, especially training, advocacy & support for work in other regions. We give support and advice for singers, vocal leaders and other organisations.
New singers who attend our workshops, choirs and projects, and communities and partners with whom we work
We have been providing singing opportunities in Northumberland and the north east for more than 20 years. We have a large base of loyal and participating singers, and new singers who find out they enjoy singing so much that they want to do more! We have strong links with other arts and community organisations, so we can provide relevant activities for different groups.
