St Thomas' Parish eco-Centre

Help us equip our new parish eco-centre so that we can serve Brampton and beyond. The Church body has paid for the construction of a new eco-centre in Brampton, Chesterfield. Help is needed to buy equipment so that local groups and organisations can use the building in partnership with the Church.

Charity information: ST THOMAS' PCC, BRAMPTON

  • Need

Community meeting space in Brampton is at a premium. For decades the Church has provided a place for local groups to florish. When existing buildings came the the end of their life church members came together to build a new parish centre. Rising and unexpected costs has left the project with no money to buy esential equipment to enable the centre to opperate.

By providing fixtures and fittiing to the new centre the whole neighbourhood will have a centre to enjoy and be proud of. Without these items the services on offer will be limited - with them the sky is the limit for the church and local partners alike.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To provide fixtures and fittings to the new St Thomas' parish eco-centre

    What success will look like

Success will be... when the eco-centre is fully equiped with all equipment necessary to meet the community needs of Brampton and beyond.

  • Impact

The parish centre will be able to offer the Brampton community 320m2 of affordable community space in order to support the local needs and asperations of community groups and organisations. Existing space is limited and cost-prohibative, our centre will enable new and existing groups to flourish by offering well equiped, attractive flexible meeting space.

Funding not secured for fixtures and fittings would significanlty inhibit the centre's ability to operate. Essential equipment will be purchased first so that a limited service may be able to operate as soon as possible.

Communication will be via webpages, newsletters and local forum meetings.
