The Big Café - 80,000 meals for the homeless

Charity information: The Connection at St Martin's - helping homeless people in London
We are currently seeking funding for our café service, which serves over 80,000 meals a year to homeless people. This includes breakfast, lunch and evening meals, as well as food and drink for night centre clients, who stay in our emergency overnight facilities and may not have eaten for several days
Food is part of our overall package of care and is the first practical step we can take to improve an individual’s health and wellbeing.
To continue to serve hot, healthy food to some of London's most vulnerable people.

What success will look like
Success will be keep the Cafe open day in day out.
Food is part of our overall package of care and is the first practical step we can take to improve an individual’s health and wellbeing. Once someones health and wellbeing has been improved we can begin helping them take the steps away from homelessness.
Lack of funding could cause a risk of the cafe closing, We will continue applying for funding where possible.
We will keep our donors up to date with emails, newsletters and socail media

The Connection at St Martin's is based in Central London just off Trafalgar Square. It is a key location for London's homeless community.

Our central location makes our charity in an ideal location to carry out this project. We are easily accessable for our clients to find.

Each year hundreds of volunteers work in our kitchen and cafe. Without thier support our cafe would not be able to run.
