  • Need

Discover Drama offers a unique product in Surrey, and not only sets termly group objectives, but personal contact time with our facilitators enables them to set individual attainment targets for students. This attention to individual attainment allows real progress to develop on many levels and a sense of achievement to flourish in each session. By being workshop based and not play text based, we are able to set individual learning targets which benefit all those who participate.

We use drama-based activities to inspire the development of participants and challenge preconceptions of learning disabilities. Participants are encouraged to have fun and express themselves in a supportive, professional environment, whilst also developing life skills and an understanding of the arts. We want to use this opportunity to encourage the participation of learning disabled young people in the arts for recreation, personal development, creativity and equality.
