  • Need

The bio digester will solve the problem of effluent for the future of the site. Whilst the lake will collect the water build up locally and release it and a better rate than it does presently. The peace garden will add to the benefits of our resources giving a quiet area that will benefit the children that would prefer a little space from the excitement.

    See above.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

To add to the volume and capacity of the site.

    » Add the bio digester

    What success will look like

Success will be when more people can use the site at once without there being a problem with effluent as building and numbers increase.

    Aim 2

Add a further facility to the site.

» Add the lake and garden.

    What success will look like

Success will be to see the boats being used on the lake with swans, ducks and fish making it their home.

    Aim 3

Add a quiet area to the facility.

» Build a garden design by Julian Down Award winning Garden designer.

    What success will look like

Success will be having a space where people will go and really enjoy being quiet. With children and adult alike coming to escape the hubbub of camping and fun.

  • Impact

Long term we will be able to add more sleeping accomodation and what we do now will allow us to improve all the facilities in the future. We are hoping that wildlife will make TRAC their home but the main hope for the future is for children to want to return, to clearly feel that they have had a good time and pester their parents or guardians to come again and again.

Water levels can cause problems and this is why there is a plug in the lake. We have actually bought the biodigester with the help of Summerfield Charitable Trust and the weather has put stop to it going in the ground as it was dangerous to use the digger with the ice and snow.

We will advertise the distresses and successes through our Newsletter and Letter to all our sponsors.

  • Background

TRAC is on a farm near Newent a Market town that is position between Gloucester and the Forest of Dean. We are already being a service to communities as far away as Birmingham for some of the most needy children in different areas. Enabling them to know that we care about them and challanging them to take their roles in the community. From the city people come and have a rural experience, whilst those coming from local areas just come to be enriched, encouraged and challenged.

Not only the children that come to TRAC are benefiting but when the children return to their communities they are often changed and have a different outlook. This project will enable TRAC to grow and be of more benefit to more people.

    Why Us?

There is a need for this type of facility in this area as there is not one run similarly at this level within two hours.
