£250,000 Highbury School Hydrotherapy Pool Refurb

£250,000 is needed to save pool

A SCHOOL community has rallied together to try to save a pool used by children with special needs.

Teachers at Highbury Special School, Rastrick, fear they may be forced to close their hydrotherapy pool if £250,000 is not raised soon for crucial refurbishment

    The 25-year-old pool is used by children at the school for physiotherapy and exercise but has now "reached the end of its life".


    The money will also fund a new changing room and technology to lift children into the pool, which is also used by children at Woodbank Special School in Luddenden Foot and adults with special needs.
