Need
Need
We aim to provide children who have been abandoned, orphaned or who come from desperately poor backgrounds with access to free primary education. We hope to build homes for around 30 of the regions most vulnerable children, as well as providing a water supply to the entire community.
Over time we wish to expand the program buy building a secondary school and training centres to reach out to more children.Solution
Basic facilities and opportunities do not exist in this region for children.
This project would open the door for hundreds of children to gain access to an education. -

Impact
Impact
The impact a Childrens Village can have on a community is clear and one that we have seen works in previous projects. The knock on effect for all members of the community is one that reaches far and wide.
Risk
We have experience working in remote Sierra Leone and have a trustworthy capable team working with us out there, so we do not envisage any issues we cannot overcome.
Reporting
Any donors will receive a clear break down on how the project unfolds. We believe in accountable giving and make sure 100% goes direct to our project work. We can also provide progress reports, pictures etc to any interested parties.

Background
Location
Tambaka, Sierra Leone. A 12 hour journey from Freetown, across appalling roads and on wooden canoes . A region with one doctor for the entire district, where 5 women each week die through child birth, where towns lack water access, schools and basic facilities. A place that receives very little support from anyone.
Beneficiaries
Tamabaka community. Mainly vulnerable children in the district.
There is very little wealth in the area, and is a region that survives in isolation -
Why Us?
Why Us?
We have experience of working successfully in Sierra Leone with projects like this and want to reach out further to a place we have highlighted really needs support. We are very cost effective and work on a volunteer basis, meaning 100% of donations can be spent on changing the world.
Our programs really make change in the children we help and are done on shoestring budgets compared to many organisationsRead more about the Charity running this project.
