Aryana orphanages- Afghanistan
To build a new Orphanage in Kabul, Afghanistan for 700 orphans up to the age of 16. A current orphanage has already been set up in Kabul Afghanistan; however, the location is rented so buying the land on which the orphanage is built will allow more money to be spent on materials for the orphanage.
Charity information: Aryana Aid
Reducing the amount of homeless children under the age of 16 all over Afghanistan who do not have a secure and safe place to live and may eventually be forced to work for soldiers or work in organised crime. It would also prevent the children being affected by the dangers that come with living on the streets such as rape drugs or even death.
The orphanage will be set up in Kabul where the current government have most control and so the children would be in a safe environment.
Aryana Aid will provide food and shelter to orphans from all over Afghanistan in order to reduce the number of homeless infants.
To buy the land that the orphanage will be built on.
Activities» Apply for funding to purchase the land.
What success will look like
Success will be shown when a legal contract of the land is drawn up showing that we can build the orphanage.
Acquire a permit to build the orphanage on the land.
Activities» Once sufficient funds are raised to buy the land, a request will then be made to build upon it.
What success will look like
Success will be shown when the orphanage is fully built and ready for the orphans.
Our long term goals are to open more orphanages around Afghanistan to cover all areas where there are children in need of shelter and security. Building more orphanages would allow more children to be given a home and would make it easier to transport the children to the location. We would also like to start building orphanages in Pakistan, mainly situated in Baluchistan.
There may be a risk that permission to buy or build on the land may be rejected, in which case, we would have to search for another location. Weather problems may delay the building work. However, this would only be an inconvenience and would not prevent the orphanage from being built.
Momentarily, we report to current donors regularly via letters and email. We are also planning to arrange charity meetings in which donors will have the opportunity to express their views and come forth with any ideas they may have to expand on Aryana Aid.
Budget - Project Cost: £218,013Loading graph....
Amount Heading Description £72,463 Land This will be the cost of buying the land. £145,550 Contracting Materials and costs of hiring workers.
The location the orphanage will be built on is Kabul - Afghanistan. As Kabul is the capital city of Afghanistan it means that the children will be safest in this location as it is mostly controlled by the government.
One orphanage will be able to provide housing for about 700 orphans. Orphans located in the current rented orphanage will be transferred to the newly built orphanage. As the new building will be able to house a greater number of children, those who have been living in other accommodation e.g. tents will be transferred.
We have many volunteers currently situated in Afghanistan at the moment, all of Afghan origin, meaning that they will find it easier to communicate with the locals and there will be less likelihood of being ambushed by any rebels. We also pride ourselves in having a 100% donation policy.
