Will enable reliable safety boat patrols essential to the safe execution of sailing acitivities for Cadets.

  • Aims

    Aim 1

» Local fundraising by door to door activities
    » Direct appeals to organisations
    » sponsored events

Success will be...when sufficient funds have been raised to support the purchase of a replacement boat.

  • Impact

Enable the Unit to continue to develop as a centre for boating activities in the Sea Cadet Corp Cumbria district. This will also expand our profile amongst other organisations suchas RYA and local community groups with whom we open our equipment to.

Insufficient funds when boat fails. We have set out the need to prioritise demands on Unit funds and a replacement safety boat is essential. This is being done ahead of any major failure of existing craft, to ensure we can maintain baoting activities.

    Why Us?

There is no other dedicated seafaring group in the town, and as part of a national organisation, is therefore best positioned to support and utilise such a capability.
