Plas Derw Trust Limited

Plas Derw Trust provides Environmental and Outdoor education in North East Wales through the provision of Forest Sessions delivered to local Schools.

Founded 2005

  • Mission statement

We aim to improve the futures of local disadvantaged children by providing Forest School sessions which improve their self esteem confidence and personal and practical skills. Forest School is an inspirational process that offers the young people regular opportunities to achieve and develop confidence and self-esteem through hands-on learning experiences in local woodland
The young people can discover their true potential in the woodland environment. The calm therapeutic sessions provide the young people with a peaceful and stimulating environment to learn and develop new skills outside of the school environment.
The outcomes of the Forest School sessions mean the participants settle back into main stream school and raise their attainment levels.

  • Aims

Plas Derw Trust Limited aims to:

    • We wish to provide more Forest School sessions to more schools within Flintshire. Our courses are offered to local Schools who choose the most suitable candidates
