  • Mission statement

Our family charity is helping over 60 children and 2 trainee nurses in Zambia, Rwanda and Uganda to gain access to an education they would otherwise not receive. We pay for fees, boarding, uniforms and uniforms. The children come from very poor backrounds, some of them are orphans. No donations are used for administration costs. How we work: we have local knowledge and developed a trusted networks of contacts and mentors who share similar development goals and work for us in an honorary capacity. We are selecting children who are leaders and most deserving. They all attend secondary boarding school. Our commitment to the children is to make sure that they are able to complete secondary education and our mission is to help them with their tertiary education. The Chairman of the Fund works in Zambia, Uganda and Rwanda and is in constant contact with the children, so are the other 4 trustees who visit the children regularly. We fund our activities from donations from family sources, friends and supporters and have one fundraising event every 18 months in London. Our goal is to finance 100 children and university students in 2015. This will require at least 50 000 Pounds Sterling each year. Our Fund also co-operates with organisations with shared objectives and facilitates donations from other organisations ( sports kits, text books, building projects, volunteer teachers) because we have the contacts and can use the infrastructure of the Bushcamp Company and Volcanoes Safaris.
