The Dorothy Croft Trust provides crucial financial assistance for talented young British musicians facing financial hardship to further their professional development.

  • Mission statement

    The aim of the Trust is to provide assistance for talented young British musicians with financial hardships which will enable them to focus on their education rather than having it slowed or even disrupted by lack of means. The age range is conservatory or university level, 18 to 25.

    Financial assistance will be offered for:

    - Travel funds for masterclasses, important lessons, competitions and specialists performance courses, concerts

    - Fees for short music courses, youth orchestras, international summer schools, performance courses, special lessons

    - Funds for music, scores or books

    - Instrument cases, upkeep and repair of instruments, strings, bow re-hairing

  • Aims

    The Dorothy Croft Trust For Young Musicians aims to:

    • TO ADVANCE THE EDUCATION OF YOUNG PEOPLE (UP TO THE AGE OF 26) IN THE ART OF MUSIC BY THE PROVISION OF BURSARIES, LESSONS, AND MASTERCLASSES, OR IN ANY OTHER WAY THE TRUSTEES SEE FIT.
