Valid Nutrition designs and manufactures Ready-to-Use Foods (RUFs) for the prevention and treatment of malnutrition.
"For the first time in history we have the potential to combat starvation.... " Dr. Steve Collins, Valid Nutrition.
Valid’s Mission is to enable the provision of appropriate, affordable and highly nutritious foods for the treatment and prevention of malnutrition to all those who need them. However, we intend to achieve this in a unique and sustainable way; through a demand-driven, commercial model of supply - that simultaneously drives change and development within local societies and economies.
By combining a humanitarian ethos with a business vision to create a true Social Enterprise, we believe we can make a real breakthrough in how malnutrition is addressed. Unlike conventional businesses, which in reality are responsible solely to shareholders, we are committed to putting our Mission first.
We aim to provoke a paradigm shift by demonstrating that a commercial approach that aligns a revenue model with social impact, is a viable alternative to addressing the malnutrition problem. We believe that this can provide a long-term sustainable solution to malnutrition.
Valid Nutrition aims to:
- VN exist to design and manufacture highly specialised and effective foods (RUTFs)for the treatment and prevention of malnutrition - and to provide these life saving products as efficiently as possible
