To establish,operate and develop in Marlow Town a museum and local studies centre serving the communities of Bisham, Great Marlow, Little Marlow, Marlow Bottom, Marlow Town and Medmenham.

  • Mission statement

    By meanms of the museum to promote a wider appreciation of our local heritage, environment and culture, and help create a better future for our communities. We will attract residents, visitors, young people, youth groups and schools who will be encouraged to investigate the past, understand the present and contribute to the future. Items of local historical interest will be placed on display and exhibitions held from time to time. Access for all people will be provided to the fullest extent possible.

    Marlow Museum Centre Project aims to:

    • To raise sufficient funds to run and maintain the premises and further to fund a series of exhibitions during each year.
    • To locate and acquire suitable premises for a museum in Marlow
    • To To provide a focal point for visitors to the area and local residents of all ages, to learn about the town and surrounding communities, and to add their contributions to the project.
    • To attract volunteers to man the museum and to interpretate displays and artefacts to the visitors as well as providing clean and welcoming premises.
