Dawns Tan Tan Dance Ltd

TAN Dance Ltd has worked for two decades, with people of all abilities and ages, prioritising vulnerable and marginalised groups and areas of disadvantage in Swansea and Neath Port Talbot.

Founded 1989

  • Mission statement

There are shortcuts to happiness and dancing is one of them. TAN's mission is to make the art form of dance accessible to the communities of Neath Port Talbot and Swansea, as a tool for integration, education and social change bringing about personal, group and community development.
To offer people the opportunity to explore, experience and create through the medium of dance. Building on our local, national and international reputation, we will develop our service, providing opportunities for personal and community growth through accessible art and recreation.
Successful projects have resulted in invitations to take work further afield. Programmes are low cost or free at point of access: TAN runs a successful youth programme across the two counties and is known for pioneering work in male dance and diverse capacity dance.
TAN is revenue funded by the Arts Council of Wales and NPT and Swansea councils and was awarded Arts Council of Wales Beacon Status for excellence in 2008.
