  • Mission statement

Ability to get to grips with the very demanding and sophisticated issues posed by "regeneration" impacts.
We maintain that local residents - local people - should be at the heart of any changes or renewal.
Our charitable aim is the relief of poverty and addressing issues such as low aspiration, low skills, employability and poor life skills. In an area of deprivation, we aim to give people better chances in life.
Our objective is to empower people by providing them with the necessary tools to improve the wider community.
We serve the needs of all people, children, young people, adults and elderly.

  • Aims

    Pepys Community Forum's aims to:

    • Employability. Local people need to build their lives, with skills and training to give them opportunity to gain employment.
    • Low skills. Local people may generally have none or little formal qualifications and training. Leading to their being trapped into unskilled occupations.
    • Relief of poverty. Our Area of Benefit is identified as being of high deprivation
    • Low aspiration. Local people come from a wide ethnic and cultural background, yet many lack the ability to progress their lives.
    • Poor life skills. Local people may be dependent of benefits, or may lack many of the opportunities to progress their lives.
