11 Tech 18

11tech18 was set up in 2003. Originally the organisation provided support to young BME people who are underachieving or who had been expelled from mainstream education by providing training in technical and artistic courses. We also provide a social outlet for young people that incorporates counselling and careers guidance as well as opportunities for young people to gain experience through placements. 11 Tech 18 gives young people greater exposure to the world of education and employment and seeks to further enhance their development by working with them as individuals as well as with their parents and the community in general.

Our Organisation has developed and since 2006 has worked within the community to provide adult training opportunities also with the aim to encourage build confidence and develop/enhance skills. It is a further aim to provide activities that get multicultural society together to share discussions and dialogue between the different cultural diversities. This is achieved by combining common ground, exploring and celebrating difference between cultures, traditions and heritage through the mediums of music, dance/drama, fashion, food, art, sports and education.
