Mulberry Community Projects (blackpool)

We are a supported housing project specialising in helping those who have had substance misusing problems lead an abstinenced based life through providing safe housing and support.

Founded 2007

  • Mission statement

We help disadvantaged people who may have come from a homeless background who have had drug/alcohol addictions. We tackle the root cause of their problems by looking at the person and enabling them to achieve their recovery. We work with people from some of the most deprived areas in the country and try to help them back into a stable life and back into work and to become useful members of society. We work where we can with their families and children and encourge social reintegration. We are the only charity on Blackpool that offer dry houses and we are unique in this. We encourage networking with other recovery groups wherever possible to obtain the very best tools for recovery. We are not supported by local or national government and we survive because of our volunteers and solely on housing benefit. We encourage those who have been through our system to become peer supporters and too use their experience for the good of others.
