Founded 1999

  • Mission statement

"To bring new light into the lives of young people with severe disabilities. To help them to achieve their full potential and experience as much of the normal experiences of life as they may as they grow to adulthood. "

  • Aims

Disabled Asian Women's Network (lancashire) D.A.W.N. aims to:

    • To introduce each user attending the DAWN Centre to activities that will improve their health, their attitude to life and their abilities.
    • To give each user experiences that they would not otherwise have been a part of - such as dining at a 'real' restaurant.
    • To help carers/parents understand their child's/young person's disability and how it might be managed. To see the disability in a positive, rather than negative, light.
