WILD Young Parents Project

WILD aims to provide young parents and their children with opportunties to develop their skills, improve their self-esteem, make positive and healthy choices, protect themselves, participate as equal members of their communities and achieve their potential.

WILD's core curriculum is based on the five Every Child Matters outcomes. Single-gender groups offer peer support, new skills, voluntary work, peer education, issue-based groupwork, Skills for Life, music projects and accreditation. Children's work focuses on self-esteem, personal and social development, health issues and developing empathy and resilience. 90% of WILD young mums experience post-natal depression, and 79% experience domestic abuse.
