Unique - Rare Chromosome Disorder Support Group

One in every 200 babies is born with a rare chromosome disorder — that’s many more than the one in 800 with Down’s syndrome, the best-known chromosome disorder.

Unique supports affected individuals and their families, distributes information and facilitates medical research. Our aim is to relieve feelings of isolation by linking families whose children have similar clinical and/or practical problems caused by Rare Chromosome Disorders.

Unique aims to raise awareness of rare chromosome disorders, their high incidence and significance and works closely with professional contacts.
Unique provides Family Support Services to 5,600+ families worldwide, including more than 2,700 families in the UK.
