Grassington Hub and Community Library is a volunteer led community hub situated in the heart of Grassington Village.

  • Mission statement

    The project supports the local community through the provision of a village library and access to outreach advice services. We also offer a tourist information point for visitors through the provision databases of hotels, places to eat and shop, along with display information relating to village events and the sale of tickets to local events. We offer volunteering opportunities for residents of all ages, and access to training courses leading to employment opportunities.

  • Aims

    Grassington Hub aims to:

    • To foster community cohesion and pride through the maintenance of databases of local groups, the facilitation of a Grassington Partnership and the organisation of village events to enable involvement.
    • To build the capacity and sustainability opf the local community by encuraging volunteering for all age groups, establishing adult learning to enable employment and maintaining a skills register.
    • To raise awareness of the areas history attractions and businesses through the publication of a village magazine, advertising touring/arts events, maintaining a digital display screen within the Hub.
    • To facilitate the provison of community amenities and entertainment through the promotion of village halls, licensing and corordiantion of street entertainment, setting up outreach services.
